After reading all of the reviews about the Yurt, we stayed in Yurt #13 and it was awsome. I picked this place as a place to stay while on a trip to propose to my wife. We stayed on Valentine's day of 2011 and everything about it was awsome. More

Treebone's is one of that unique places in the world. Do NOT consider any other opinion different than 5 stars, they were certainly made by people who didn't understand the beauty of the place. The japanese food is AWESOME and the owners are the best! More

We stayed 2 nights at Treebones in Yurt 7. The Yurt was very comfortable and well equipped with an uninterrupted view over the sea. This was one of the more private locations. Though the Tree house also looks fun! No toilets in the yurts, so a bit of a walk back to the bathrooms - but worth it for the... More

Our ROMEO (Retired Old men eating out) lunch group took the 45 minute ride from Cambria to have a fabulous lunch at Treebones. The scenery along the way was breathtaking. The view from the restaurant was panporamic. The grey whales (viewed fron the deck of the restauirant) were visible every 15 seconds and were heading South to Mexico. 15 of... More

The 4 of us stayed in Treebones on our way to San Francisco from LA, right after Christmas. Treebones resort offers a really different lodging experience... not quite a hotel, not quite a lodge, not quite camping... it is basically a hybrid of the best of what all the aforementioned accommodations type have to offer. 1. Location: unbeatable. It is... More

My husband and I wanted to get away for New Years Eve so I searched around and finally landed on Treebones. We found it easily and got settled into yurt #6. It is cozy and quite luxurious for "camping". The bed was comfortable and the restrooms were very clean. Yes you do have to use a shared bathroom but we... More

A qualifier, i like camping and it is usually much cheaper. We travelled right after christmas and, for the price, Were not prepared to the shared public restrooms, the poorly heated room, the attitude of the staff. My wife had spoken in advance for a massage and was never called back. The staff just did not seem to care. The... More

We stayed at 3 different lodges in Big Sur and this was, by far, our favorite. The host is an inspiration. He walked away from a top-level position with corporate America and is now happily living with his wife and 4 children in the middle of paradise. So many of the few lodges and restaurants in Big Sur appear to... More

The Treebones Resort is a real one off and recommended if you're travelling through the Big Sur. I stayed with my girlfriend and at first I didn't know what to expect when I was told I was staying in a 'yurt' but actually I found our half tent, half cabin 'yurt' to be clean, comfortable and very cosy. A real... More
