Stsyed at this motel on a trip up the California coast. Big Sur is really the first point you meet going north which is very green. At this point you are slightly in.and inI the valley of the Big Sur River. The motel is a really delightful place to stay. Accommodation seemed to be mainly in cabins at the side... More

Don't stay here! There were ants in the bathroom, dead bugs in the pillowcases, no doorstop to seal the bottom of the door and keep out the highway noise, no noise insulation between rooms, and the bathroom was 6" above the main bedroom floor which is dangerous. The internet photo is misleading--the queen room is much smaller. Staff when informed... More

We were only going to get to spend two days in Big Sur and picked this place to stay from the website for the picture of the chairs in the river. That was super cool and lots of people staying there took advantage of chillaxing in the cool river (even in April). We splurged for the riverside suite for the... More

I realize that $150/night is about rock-bottom for the Big Sur area, but we still were surprised by how bare-bones our room was. No wi-fi. No TV. Two-minute wait for hot water. Room and bathroom furnishings are of low quality and look like they were made/installed by the town's jack of all trades. So...if all you're looking for is a... More

We stopped here on the way from San Fran to LA, as I imagine most people do. The lodge room was cute, all wood, fairly basic but was what we expected. I felt it was too cold though, the bathroom was freezing too, as it was December and we were travelling with a baby, so we had to put him... More

Stayed here for a night. The rooms are pretty basic but fine for a night. The attached restaurant was surprisingly good but thought it pretty over priced for what you got. We traveled during winter so the open fire we especially nice. Good option for one night.

This Inn is located in a beautiful spot on highway 1. We went in January so there were no crowds which was nice. I've never been there in the summer so can't talk about crowds at that time of year. The only downside to the inn is that rooms are noisy (thin walls), you can hear cars driving on hwy... More

Much can be said about Big Sur. It's majestic yet rugged coast line...wait, yea, that's about it. Sure it's nice to travel through Big Sur, if you have the time, but not worth staying overnight and especially not here. My family and I arrived here around 5pm on our way up the famed 1 Highway, and decided to spend the... More

Drove down to the Big Sur area after a morning of wine tasting and Highway 1 sightseeing. Our group had the ribs, brisket sider and I had the brisket sandwich (photo below). Food was great and served within 20 minutes. Lacey was our waitress and she was quick on the ball on providing our adult drinks. The river in the... More
