We recently stayed at the new location which was outside Salerno city and in a village 'Benincasa' overlooking the Amalfi Coast. We got good directions and we had no problem getting the bus there, it taking about 20minutes or so. The apartment has a very nice view of the sea and and lots of sun as we were lucky enough... More

We found Dianne's apartment clean, cosy, simple and comfortable. Dianne is an excellent host and has very good local knowledge which we made good use of, visiting some of the places she recommended including her favourite town of Kava up in the hills - a 30 minute bus ride. Dianne is very helpful, articulate, has a kind heart and a... More

Dianne was an excellent host. Travelling throughout Italy was so very touristy but this place is not. Like other travellers have stated, Salerno is the real deal. Dianne was so informative. It was so nice to be able to speak to a local who knows English since our Italian isn't that great. She answered so many questions we had about... More

I loved staying in Dianne's Salerno B&B because I felt somewhat integrated into a slice of southern Italian life. Her cozy apartment in a real Salerno neighbourhood in the midst of the comings and goings of urban Italian life with the shops, cafes, bars, restos, pasticcerie, cheese and fish shops, young and old, chic and not was absolutely authentic and... This was an authentic Italian experience. The hosts, Dianne and Giuseppe, were very hospitable and helpful. They showed us around this beautiful part of Italy and we shared great moments together. We discovered off the path towns and villages and the food was incredible and also affordable, unlike Northern Italy. The apartment is very clean and beautifully decorated. It is... More

We just finished our stay in Salerno and really appreciated the 'homey' and friendly feel at the apartment and the freedom we had there (ie. kitchen use). We got all the information we needed in English to get around easily and had the nicest experience possible. The area was really convenient and we had everything we needed outside the door... More

We had so much fun staying here. Diane and Giuseppe were great guides and wonderful hosts. They let us know where to eat and what to see. We did not have any trouble finding it with Diane's directions. It was such a great deal. Some of my fondest memories of my trip to Europe was sitting having some wine and... More

I tend to travel solo on a budget and MySalernoApartment was more than I could have possibly hoped for. I stayed there for one week in April and truly had a wonderful time. The proprietor, Dianne Drew, has an amazing sense of what is important in making a vacation experience memorable, inexpensive and convenient -- and that's exactly what my... More

What good is a place if you can’t find it? We were really looking forward to staying in a local Italian urban neighborhood and getting away from big hotels. We reserved for 3 days at My Salerno Apartment and sent in our deposit as requested. Diane sent us directions from Mapquest on how to get there. The map was clearly... More

I can understand the frustration of anyone who is travelling and has become lost. But the fact are as follows: It was more than 2 hours after their scheduled arrival time when theses guests finally decided to call me on their cel. after they had been lost for that amount of time. As their cel phone was constantly cutting out... More

We second the other nice reviews. Our nice hostess gave us excellent tips and we were very comfortable. We thought the overall experience was a perfect balance between tourism hot-spots and authentic, untainted off-the-beaten-track Italy! More
