Whole resort very clean. Food good choice and plenty. House white wine very drinkable!!! Service was excellent, always good in the Maldives but the staff at Bathala really do go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Great house reef, we dived 20 dives in 8 days, 19 on the house reef. Tank guys super... More

We stayed at the Bathala Island Resort for 12 nights over the Easter holidays. The island was completely full at this time as you would expect, but still felt peaceful and relaxed. The island has recently been taken over by Maldivian management (AAA resorts). Previously it had Italian management and was not focussed on diving. However, the new owners, working... More

The resort is no longer called Adaaran Club Bathala since its take over by new management in late 2011. Now called Bathala Island Resort. We visited in early March 2012. Refurbishment has taken place, still a few things to do, but nothing that really affects the guests. Rooms are fine although the outdoor bathrooms need some tlc. All the bungalows... More

My boyfriend and I went to the Adaaran Club Bathala in June 09 and we were very lucky as it’s the raining period, however we never had a bad day expect for once, but luckily it lasted only 10 minutes. The island is very small, only 50 bungalow, but when we were there only 12 were occupied, so it was... More

Bathala is a true paradise, a jewel in the indian ocean sea. The island is very small, with 45 rooms, and can be walked in 10 min. Ther is no luxury there: the rooms are clean but very simple, with maldivian style bathroom. The food is quite good but nothing special, and there's almost no animation. What is really making the... This was our first time in Maldives, and we found exactly what we dreamed of. Talking to more experienced fellow guests I learned that the accommodations in Maldives can be wildly varied, so of course what we liked could not be everyone's fare. To be clear: this is not a luxury retreat, but a peaceful place with white sand for... More

Very small island and a true gem!! Just indulge in pure maldivian delight, Kick back and soak up the sun and peace and quiet. The house reef is wonderful ideal for those who don't scuba dive. The food is very good but don't expext 5* cuisine. German visitors are the majority on this island.

Italian managed Resort........but very quiet!! Fantastic house-reef Rooms are not luxury but large and clean. Good Food I think this is the place you should go if you're not interested in 5star Hotels but you love nature and sea.

The staff are first class and so friendly and accommodating but be aware that it is customary to tip just about every member of staff you come into contact with, either during the stay or at the end of the stay. This works out very expensive, we dished out $85usd and it only ended there because we were aggreived to... More
