I don't know how I stumbled across these cottages, but I have to say Kiz Alma Haz was the most stunning and romantic little retreat we've ever stayed in. I was a bit concerned we would be iscolated, but the surrounding countryside is just gorgeous and Budapest is an hour's easy drive (we hired a car), so we were able... More

If you are planning a vacation in Budapest or Vienna, this is a must stay. Great service, lodging and views of the Hungarian countryside. Perched in the middle of vineyards, lavender and fruit trees, the small 1-2 bedroom cottages are super nice. This was a perfect way to end our vacation.

It was our 2nd time in Eco-ház which is only one room, but is the most lovely one. Our first visit was in the very beginning of our relationship with my girlfriend. The whole place is so cute, that its almost too much for a man :) Its overwhemingly romantic, and not only because of memories. This time the weather... More

Cathrine. A magician. The true wizard of Oz, who created a little piece of heaven on the beautiful dunes of Vértes. The fragile harmony of the cosy atmosphere of the cottages and the peaceful nature distant from the noisy city are well complemented with a precisely composed yet so naturally flowing hospitality provided by Ibi and Karcsi, the local couple... We had the most memorable of times at your property. You have a blessing In Ibi & Karcsi! I think they have truly surpassed all expectations of hospitality we had & may God shower them with good health & happiness….The Eco Haz was everything we hoped for & my slight hesitation in making a choice such as this for a... We spent some autunm days in the very cosy "Nest cottage", and we loved it. We appreciated the sunny terrace during the day (what a view!) and to sit by the fire in the evening. It is amazing how well the cottages, which were originally wine-cellars, have been converted to an upscale accomodation. So stylish. It is a perfect WE... More

Escaping to Catherine's Cottages is such a huge treat. We've been to stay several times now at different times of the year and always have an incredibly spoiling time. Each cottage is immaculate, whether you are there in the winter with a roaring log fire or the windows and doors are thrown open to each little terrace or the garden.... More

4th time I think that we've been to stay at Catherine's cottages, and once again really couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. Ibi and Kacsi make for the most perfect couple in welcoming you on arrival - logfire burning, home-cooking on a tray and the cottages themselves so welcoming. During the day we went for long walks in the hills and... More

We spent a romantic weekend at Catherine's last week. Im not a big review writer, but i simply must share a few thoughts, becouse it was such a unique trip. We chose the Eco house for our stay. The kindliness of the housekeepers Ibi and Karcsi, the tastefully decorated and fully equipped cosy little room, the home made dinner and... More

It felt like a tremendous treat to stay at Kis Alma Haz, one of the beautiful country cottages in Csakbereny. Good vibes circulate around the whole place. It was really easy to get there from Budapest, the scenic journey was a bonus, and we got such a warm welcome from Karcsi upon arrival that we immediately felt happily settled. Karcsi... More
