The tourist lodge is the only accomodation available in Yumthang. Toutists go there for three reasons Yumthang valley that is similar to Pahlagam in Kashmir, Rhodendron flowers and Zero Point. There are local shops just outside the hotel. The caretaker Kakababu is helpful but sometimes helpless as the nature does not allow him to help. Thoguh we had booking here could not stay as adivsed due to frozen water, heavy winds at night causing breathelessness. Advised to stay at Lachung which was a good suggestion by the management. More
