Nice place to visit the historic villages like Castelo Rodrigo, Marialva, and the Foz Coa paleolitic gravures.
They are very kind, and we feel like home.
Fantastic renovated convent with lovely rooms - we were upgraded to ones in the main house. A very relaxing place with excellent service from the staff. We were guided to a nice restaurant in nearby Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo. Breafast was served in a beautiful room overlooking the gardens.
This small hotel is the old rest house for the dignitaries who visited the adjacent Convent of Santa Maria de Aguiar. The original house was built in 1704 and rebuilt in 1997, and still has the Cister Order Coat of Arms. This area was since the 12th century part of the Caminho de Santiago (Santiago de Compostela pathway)
