This hotel is very close to the airport, about a five minute cab ride, and that is why we chose it. We were only in Forli for one night. We flew in late in the evening and took the train to Venice the following morning. This hotel is also close to the Forli train station. We were able to walk... More

I used to stay here regularly with work several years ago, and never really liked it as the rooms were old and dark and the hotel in general was dated. When I returned there this February, it was like a new hotel - a light, airy reception and rooms bedrooms which have all been completely updated. You can now also... More

I stayed at Hotel Michelangelo just for one night but, I must admit ,that it was enough to have an excellent impression. At my arrival I was welcomed by very professional staff who , in excellent english, provided me all the information I needed on how to get to the airport, where to go for dinner, how to make all the... Yes, the building is very ugly... but it does not matter as you normally stay inside the hotel, in the room. We booked an "Deluxe" room (it was around EUR 10 more expensive) and it is worth paying the EUR 10 extra as you get everything from the room minibar for free (and it is well worth more than EUR... Rooms are small but everything is there. The help and assistance from the staff are top-class. There is no restaurant in the hotel but they gave me an excellent recommandation More

Michelangelo is by far the most welcoming hotel that we’ve the pleasure of experiencing in Italy. We’ve visited several major Italian cities twice in the last 18 months and stayed 5 nights here during a conference (i.e., the University of Bologna). Upon arriving very late from Roma, Elena at the reception organised take-away pizza from a nearby late night place.... More

Only spent 1 night in Forli before flying home. Arrived late after a 4 hr drive from Tuscany, immediately offered free tea/coffee, sandwiches & croissants - very welcome and a nice little touch. Rooms were very comfortable & well equipped and all the staff we encountered were extremely helpful. Good location, only a couple minutes walk to main street &... More

My overall experience of hotels in Italy has not been very positive but I was pleasantly surprised by the Michelangelo. It is about ten minutes by taxi (€11) from Forli airport and though I arrived very late the receptionist was very pleasant and welcoming. The bedroom was a little on the austere side but was clean and very functional. Though... More

Eleventh one night stop-over in Forli in four years en route to Urbino; first time here as usual choice was fully booked. It is perfectly located on edge of small old town, 5 minutes walk from railway station and 1.5 k from airport. On arrival offered coffee, sandwiches, snacks in reception: great after travelling and too tired to go to... More

We were flying out of Forli (Ryanair), and after a hectic trip around Italy, found this hotel a nice, quiet stay before our flight the next morning. 2km from airport and 1km from train station. Free internet in foyer, GREAT breakfast, clean rooms. Is close to the centre of town (which is actually quite nice). Rooms were a little dated,... More
