I'm the one with the above bad experience. I received the bill from Bregnerod Kro and was charged the full amount for the very bad meal. I payed and wrote a complaint to the manager, but never got an answer.

Room (almost) ok for the price, but very dirty carpet. The place was crowded with a tv crew all over, so the restaurant was closed. The chef recommended a menu, which showed up to be a disaster and I had to eat alone in the breakfast room. The next morning there were nobody around except a young woman with her...

We have stayed there twice. The old dining room is a period piece, charming experience. We came in late one night and melted into a booth for a night cap. The staff is great even giving us a tour of the old wine cellar.

The only thing I can say good about this place is the restaurant. the restaurant if very quaint and the outdoor terrace is very pretty. The food is very good, but extremely pricey!
The rooms are absolutely disgusting! The toilet, shower and sink are original I am sure, or atleast 40-50 years old.
The carpet was dirty, frayed and smelled....
