Went to the Auberge in Spa for the weekend. The Hotel is clean, the staff are pleasant.A couple of things stand out.The decor in the rooms is a bit odd and the breakfast is fairly basic continental. At the other end of the scale, the shower(as befits one in Spa) is magnificent!! The restaurant is very nice in the evening with a very nice... More

On entering the hotel you will find no reception area, you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the bar where there is a tiny check in area. The rooms and corridors smelt of cigarette smoke when we were there. We booked a suite as all twins/ doubles had been taken, the room itself was well thought out... More

Stayed at this hotel last week with a baby. Spa is not a city to visit with very small children, it is charming but quite small and the pavements are not really meant for smooth buggy rides. The Peter de Great Spa is under renovation and looks like it will be under wraps for a year at least. I have... More

o Review below is of restaurant ONLY. I have eaten here very enjoyably on several occasions, but have never stayed at the hotel. o On the hotel, renovation was underway last time I went by, which may improve facilities previous reviewers found inadequate. o Foodwise, traditional seasonal Belgian cuisine, well presented, at fair prices. Try asparagus or game in season,... More

Stayed at the L'Auberge Hotel over the Christmas Hols and I've got to firstly say that the location is superb, right next to the the Monument in the centre of the lovely town of Spa. We were greeted by the guy on reception who said that we could not park on the street and needed to go to the Tourism... More

We were surprised to find that the rooms were not in the hotel but in the annex which was not connected to the hotel. The electric power in the anex were not working and it was impossible to get to our rooms as we could not see and the lift didn't work. We had to return to the hotel to... More

the hotel is centrally located in the middle of the city, surrounded by bars and restaurants.our room was clean and had all we needed in it,although i struggled to sleep as our room overlooked the main road through the city.the continental breakfast was nice and there was plenty of it. its only about ten minutes to Spa track and is opposite... Skip this restaurant/hotel if you can! The room is very small and old fashioned, but that's ok. The breakfast is extremely poor, one type of cheese, one type of meat and some sweets for your bread and that's it for what you can put on it. Very basic, while I expected more and in other hotels do get more! The... More

The location of this small hotel is perfect, just park your car in front of the hotel and you can walk around this small town. The rooms are clean but very small. The staff speak French and Dutch (but they prefer French) and a little English. There is a small elevator where only 2 people fit in. The breakfast (buffet)was... More

Five of us stayed here for a long week-end, all five rooms were similar in size, were clean, acceptable and with good bathroom facilities. As other reviews mention the hotel is accessed via the main restaurant but this is not really a problem. Other reviews mention the staff as unfriendly, this was not my experience, they were perhaps reserved but... More
