My Fiancee and I stayed at the Redcastle 12-14th Feb (Valentines weekend). The positives were as follows:- Food excellent, friendly staff, good facilities such as pool etc and room size good. Two things however spoilt our stay the first being that it was Valentines weekend we were on a break from the kids however were given an adjoining room with... More

We had a lovely stay at the Redcastle we have not been there for about 10 years it has had a great face lift, The staff were lovely and the food was fantastic. We had a room with a sea view and this made it very enjoyable. When we arrive they had left a plate with four chocolates on it... More

Stayed here and had booked a room with a sea view at extra cost per night, was put into a very small room in what appeared to be the old part of the hotel over the kitchen, the room was small, shabby and the noise from the fans at the kitchen loud, was very disappointed as had stayed here previously... Dear Guest Thank you for review. We do appreciate all feedback. I note from your review that you stayed in March 2011. The Hotel does not have an older section as the entire Hotel was refurbished at the same time 6 years ago. However some bedrooms and the Hotel itself has undergone a recent refurbishment as we did recognise that... More

A very comfortable hotel. Excellent breakfast and "fine dining" in the restaurant although a little pricey if you have children. Lovely swimming pool overlooking Lough Foyle. Rooms, large, warm, relaxing and accommodating with tea/coffee, ironing facilities, hairdryer, etc. Staff friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay their again, perhaps in the summer. More

My wife and i had been looking forward to a two night stay at this hotel for many weeks but have never been as disappointed by a hotel. First disappointment was check in, we arrived at hotel at around 1330 but our room wasnt ready until 1630. The room itself was terrible, one of the doors on the wardrobe was... More

We stayed here for two nights and the overall feeling was comfort and relaxation. A friendly welcome, and friendly staff throughout the hotel. The room was a good size with a giant comfortable bed so started the break with a really good night's sleep. The breakfast was buffet with no restriction on choice from full Irish and continental. The restaurant... More

Stayed with my husband and baby daughter for a two night break. Breakfast was great , plenty of choice. A highchair was already set at the table for my daughter for breakfast and dinner and a travel cot was already set up in the suite for us - little touches like that made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed the... More

For starters I should own up to a bit of bias here - we travelled to the Redcastle Hotel after my husband won a weekend (2 nights B&B and 1 Dinner with a spa treatment) on a local radio station. So obviously we were in good form as we were getting this bit for free! Trying to put that bias... More

I stayed with my husband for a weekend, we got a brilliant deal on Groupon, which included 2 nights B&B and a spa treatment. When we arrived and checked in, we were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel porter was taking our bags to our room, and on the way up he welcomed us and told us a bit about... More
