Seehotel Schwan has a great location in Gmunden overlooking the lake. But that's all you gonna get. The hotel looks like the owner has not invested in it since the early 1980's. You can find hundreds of better places to stay in Austria for the same money. more

A comfortable, friendly hotel in an excellent position. The food and service were excellent and every posssible consideration given in respect of a wheelchair user in her 90s. My one criticism is that a bedroom and bathroom need to be made more wheelchair friendly, but the hotel has accepted this criticism. Would stay there again. more

This hotel was picture perfect, right in the middle of a beautiful town. We stayed in a suite on the second floor and had a nice balcony where we could see the boats on the lake. Absolutely wonderful. more

Stayed in the recently renovated part of the hotel. Great rooms,clean, warm and big! Great view,great location. 30 min from ski resort. Front desk very nice. Family owned, dogs allowed. After staying in Gmunden prior to this trip in a different hotel, I can say that this hotel made the difference in our trip. Very comfortable and authentic. more

We have stayed at Seehotel Schwan both in 2001 and 1998. The hotel sits directly on the lake in Gmunden in the heart of town and some rooms have terraces overlooking the water and mountains.
