The Nameri Eco Camp just cannot be beaten by any other place for its natural surroundings. You feel one with nature at this superbly well run camp. Accomodation is in tents but equipped with attached western toilets and running hot & cold water. There is a common dining hall where you meet up with other guests and share your sightings.... More

I visited the Eco Camp along with my Family .At first I was very apprehensive about the place since it was located well inside the tiger reserve and what kind of facility we will get, but all my worries disappeared the moment I reached there. The manager and staff were very nice and courteous. The tents with attached bath were... More

Nameri Eco Camp was possibly the prettiest property we stayed in, during our Assam tour. The tents and cottages are laid our amongst the green canopy, attracting many birds to the campus itself. Given the general laid back attitude to service in Assam, we found Eco camp to be among the better ones. The good : 1. Great location and... More

Stayed there during an external training programme organised by the company. The trip was very nice, with bonfire and good food. We walked up to the river bank. From there we crossed the river in boats and trekked in the jungle. Only one word of precaution: Pls don’t stay in the cottages (SANG GHAR); better to stay in the tents.... More

Three of us visited Nameri National Park for bird watching for 3 nights. We stayed in the Cottage (instead of the tent) as it looked more spacious & was slightly raised from the ground (we thought it'll keep the creepy crawlies out). Bad choice. The place was very dirty. The floor & all the shelves / surfaces had a layer... More

Owned and managed jointly by the government of Assam and a NGO in association with the forest department, the Nameri Eco Camp is a wonderful place to stay and explore the national park. For a government venture this place is surprisingly well-run and nicely maintained by an efficient staff. Accommodations are in tents or thatched cottages all of which back... More

Arrived here after a delayed flight from Guwahati, then a long drive - it was dark, and so we only got a small impression of the place before going to bed. Despite our delay, the staff had prepared a delicious meal for us, and that was to be the way while we were there - excellent Assamese food, and of... More

Located in a picturesque part of Assam, adjacent to the Arunachal border and with views to the Himalayas, this is a charming place, run by an enthusiastic team. The food in particular was excellent - Assamese specialties prepared superbly. The tent-houses were unique - most of the creature comforts of a hotel room with the feeling of sleeping in a... More

Nameri Eco camp is close to Tezpur on the north bank of Assam - around 4-5 hour drive from Gauhati airport we used this as an overnight stay on our drive up to Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh) Its literally in the jungle so please use a local driver (in case they have not arranged transport) We got in after sunset and... I suppose this was satisfactory as an eco camp. However, I found the hard beds, dirty bathrooms and questionable sanitation in the kitchen less than desirable. Yes, you hear the sounds of the jungle and the tents have a colorful pattern inside. The food was good, despite the food safety concerns. This camp is probably perfect for those who love... More
