Spent a weekend in the cold winter here. Reception welcome is friendly, as was the room (type superior, frontside). Restaurant was quite full on Fri evening and more quiet on Saturday; great cooking and enough choice though it's really 3/4-star pricing. (On the other side of the road there's a Chinese restaurant as fallback...)
Nice, not too big, pool in the basement; weekdays often swimming classes as the hotel also houses a parttime daycare but when we were there (weekend) nice and quiet. Good room, with tea & coffee making and large plasma TV. Good base for walks through the countryside, e.g. a marshland on a few km's walk. Reception and restaurant admin can be a bit cumbersome; checkout of the guests before us took 5-10 mins each and for us it was 10+ minutes, due to errors at the restaurant and the booking website. But in the end all was resolved. On the ring road of the village, about 10 mins walk from the West railway station. more
