This was a spontaneous stay in this hotel. It was clean and tidy, the service that was given from the staff was excellent. The location of the hotel is perhaps one of the strong points of the hotel. It is directly opposite the Bassilica. The decor was modern and up to date, at 42 Euros a night, not too bad.... More

Merida is a small town, but it's full of great historical sites, mainly dating back to the ancient Romans, This hostel is at walking distance from all of them, which is the main reason why we chose it. In addition, it has been recently renovated, so the rooms are very clean. We asked at the reception for the usual things... More

I have stayed in many hostels across the world and this one is by far the best - it is more like a better end budget hotel. The rooms are clean, bright and airy with modern bathrooms, the beds are comfortable, it is an easy walk form the bus station, close to the town centre and had excellent wifi...I cannot... More

This place was newly renovated and very clean, my room had a new flat screen tv and new furniture but as the city of Merida is famous for it's roman ruins the city itself is nothing special. La Flor de Al-Andalus is located on a street with all modern and office looking buildings, in a word, boring. However about 300... More

We stayed here on Saturday, 27th October and were amazed at this place. It has a good location, in walking distance of the town's center and attractions. The owners have thought of every detail a traveler needs: welcome reception, efficient service, lovely decorated public areas and bedrooms. With comfortable beds, a hairdryer in the bathroom, colour television, safety box and... More

Flor De Al-Andalus made me feel like someone who could afford a chic design hotel, but on the same budget as my (usually sub-par in some way) 1-2 star hotels. I speak some Spanish, and the men behind the desk were exceptionally accommodating, helpful and friendly. I had very heavy suitcase which they had no problem hoisting up and down... More

Delightful little hostal. Small beautifully decorated room with all necessary facilities. Perfectly adequate breakfast. Convenient for all the Roman Sites. Only problem is parking. On street was impossible to find so had to pay 13€ in a car park.

This is a newly-refurbished one-star hotel, decorated in Moorish style, a few minutes walk from the railway station. Our room was on the second floor at the back. The room was small but freshly decorated and adequately furnished. The bathroom was small but clean and functional. The mod cons included wifi, a laptop safe and air conditioning. The breakfast was... More

I had a single room on the first floor (one flight up from lobby) on the street side, but I did not have particular noise problems, except one evening (not late) for a short while when there was a conversation in the lobby downstairs and the sound really carries (bounces of the all-wooden flooring). The key card for the room... More

We would not normally stay in a one star hostal, but with the great reviews this place had, both on this site and on booking.com, we thought we would try it. We stayed two nights, and we were not disappointed. The room was lovely, the staff very nice and helpful. The person who checked us in didn't speak English, and... More
