I stayed in this hotel for two nights in a junior suit no: 211. I do not like sleeping with air conditioning. I always prefer to open windows and let the fresh air in. In this hotel this is impossible because the noise from the street is such that you would not sleep a blink. Street cleaners and dustcarts at... More

Within very close walking distance to the stunning walled city Carceres, this hotel has modern, comfortable rooms and stylish architecture. The staff were friendly, even though we spoke no Spanish,we were able to get by well.We were 5 couples traveling and we all liked our rooms and the ease of access to the old town. It cost 8 euros to get... More

The NH Palacio in Caceres got off to a bad start. Many of the complaints of previous reviews have been addressed, but not satisfactorily. The hotel is hard to find because it is in a pedestrian zone. We wound up parking outside the city center and walking about 350 meters to the hotel. The hotel sent someone back with us... More

The rooms here were fine, standard hotel rooms really, nothing compared to the beautiful architecture of the communal areas like the lobby etc (although the hallways smelled funny). The location is perfect, right at the edge of the Plaza Mayor and almost literally built into the walls of the old town. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in... More

Stayed last night. Arrived late and went to room. We were a bit worried about smell in room, but decided that it may have been due to lack of use. Went out for dinner...came back and when opening door were disgusted by smell of fried foods. Went to reception to ask for a "smelly candle" or something...they must be used... More

Gorgeous old building, although the room itself was a bit bland. Handy internet and printing facilities in the lobby, although not that cheap. Breakfast as ridiculously priced as always in hotels. Could be hard to get staff's attention, and when I checked in, the guy on reception didn't bother to mention to me that there was a lift, or where... More

This NH hotel has all the necessary things you would need if you travel in the Spanish summer heat to Caceres e.g. UV filtered curtains, air conditioning, cool interior, soft downy pillows and bed.. we had a great rest in this hotel and loved the tasteful interior decoration. The things that could improve are: - parking: Caceres is an old... More

According to NH this is one of its "Collection" hotels. Indeed, we don´t doubt it occupies an old building with lots of history, but the poor quality materials (probably the cheapest possible conglomerate doors - the bathroom doors are chipping off because of the shower. The carpets are worn out and fake wooden floors) are really disappointing. One gets the... More

The restoration of this building is excelent. The location is at the old part of the city. It was a pity that there was a construction site on the center and it was not possible to visit the old part of the city. Internet costs about 10€, it is not gratis. There is no parking for the guests, and to... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights at his hotel. Please fin below our comments: Pros: - Location is excellent if you are a tourist. Near (short walking distance) the main square and attractions. - Our room was new and modern (different from what I read in other comments at TripAdvisor). - Nice old/historic building. - The staff was helpful....
