We stayed here last year when attending a classic car show in nearby Bridge of Allan and were delighted and happy with our stay that we booked to return again this year. Jean is a lovely welcoming host and you feel that you are staying with a close family relative rather than a B&B owner. We had a lovely clean double... More

We stayed at Ciar Mhor for 2 nights recently while attending a family party in Dunblane. The location was lovely right next to the river, we saw a heron one day and also enjoyed watching the dogs in the park. Our room on the ground floor was very comfortable and the breakfasts were great with the eggs coming from the... More

Just stayed recently whilst at a wedding! The lady of the house was not very helpful no matter what we asked. Rooms were ok decor but freezing at night! Only one room en suite! The breakfast was terrible.... the cereal seemed like it had been in the tupperware containers for years and we had to ask for milk. There was... More

I too am disappointed at such a bad report - the first in over 12 years of providing B&B. I would disagree with their opinion that I was unhelpful as all 3 items which I was asked for, I supplied. It was bad judgement putting the heat off at night - as has happened for the last month -especially as... More

We stayed 2 nights here because a friend was getting married in Dunblane. The location is great - next to a little stream. We had a room on the ground floor which was lovely however we didn't have our own toilet and bathroom which was a bit disappointing. The staff advised us that is was our own but saw others... More

My sister and I stayed at Ciar Mhor for 4 nights over Christmas while visiting family in Dunblane. We stayed in the family room on the first floor but as we were the only guests had free use of the spacious bathroom and lounge. Sadly we didn't have the opportunity to spend much time in the lounge but it was... More

Have stayed here many times most recently October 2010 and am planning to go back in September 2011. It's a beautiful house in a great location. Close to the A9 so Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth all within an hour's travel. Have always been well looked after by Jean and Ewan. I've stayed in double room and also family room. Plenty of... More

Allthough we were at Ciar Mhor only for one night, we were deeply impressed by the wonderful surroundigs and very nice rooms. It´s a place to enjoy and relax. Even when the weather is not so good, and that happens, you can be very happy there. The lounge is excellent for reading a good book or a glass of wine. More

What a lovely surprise Ciar Mhor is. I had seen from the website that it was in a lovely location, but as a previous reviewer has described, the view of the River Allan from the spacious sitting room is superb, just what was needed to wind down after a hectic day, with a cup of tea - with the added... This is a very impressive house, especially the guest lounge with a view of the river. The bedroom was also very comfortable and the bathroom was huge with a great corner bath. The breakfast was nice and Jean and Ewan made us very welcome It's very good value for money too. We'd definately stay again if needing somewhere in Dunblane. More
