The hotel is a little out of the way but was in a very nice setting within woods. the hotel rooms were very clean and modern. the view from the restaurant overlooking the sea was really something. Have stayed at many of the hotels in and nearby Vejle and must conclude the best hotel is MUNKEBJERG. Really nice breakfast buffet! Only negative remark is that Munkebjerg Hotel in the outskirts of Vejle. So if you are looking for a hotel in the center of Vejle the Monkey will not cut it. We booked the Munkebjerg Hotel, Vejle for two nights as a base for visiting Legoland in Billund, Denmark. Billund is about 20 miles away from Vejle (if, like me, your Danish isn't too good, Vejle is pronounce Vile-uh). The overall appearance of the hotel is that it is a bit dated, a bit 1980-ish, with quite a dark reception area.... more
