I imagine it would be a costly exercise running a lodge in a remote location such as the Mary river flood plain, however I expect more for the price. The location is lovely, the staff friendly and helpful, even the short stay backpackers are ok. We stayed in the late part of the wet season in a safari tent, which... More

This upmarket wilderness lodge understands what a 5 star wilderness retreat should be, and succeeds in delivering it in the challenging environment it exists in. Great accommodation, fab food with a regional influence and extremely helpful staff. Billabong tour an absurd highlight. Stop here on your way to Kakadu and restore yourself close to nature. More

I am a seasoned traveller, both for business and pleasure; please see my profile to put this review into perspective. My wife and I spend 5 days and four nights at the Lodge over Easter. After a late night flight from Sydney we stayed at the airport hotel for a couple of hours before travelling the 150km to the Lodge... More

We stayed at Wildman for 2 nights to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday recently. All of the staff were amazing and went out of their way to make sure we had a really special time. The cabins are beautiful and well-appointed. You feel like you are staying right in the wilderness, especially with the bathroom window out onto the wetlands.... More

My husband and I spent three nights at Wildman Wilderness Lodge at the start of our long Australian holiday. We didn't really know what to expect and were a bit anxious that our friends from Sydney wouldn't enjoy it, but it was the perfect combination of luxury and adventure. The habitat cabins are simple but elegant and thoroughly comfortable. The... More

My husband and I went to Wildman for our wedding anniversary and WOW!! What an amazing place. The staff are fantastic and the food is beautiful. It is so peaceful. I highly recommend the quad bikes!!! The pool is a great place to relax with a beverage. We stayed in a habitat and talk about a view. Who knew that... More

We spent three nights at Wildman as part of a two week trip based around Kakadu National Park. As a family of 5 we took one of the safari tents which I would classify as Ralph Lauren meets out of Africa. Our teenage girls took one look and with a rare accord heaved a giant sigh of pleasure at the... More

Wasn't sure what to expect, but this place is totally amazing. We only stayed for one night which was such a shame as the accommodation in the rest of Kakudu is absolutley awful!!!! This place is beautiful, we stayed in a safari tent with our 7 year old who loved it!! The swimming pool is lovely and the ability to... More

I was almost put off by some of the earlier reviews, but it only opened in April, so we decided to give it a chance and hoped they had ironed out a few bumps. And it was sooo worth it, the drive from Darwin is great, easy to find, and just plain beautiful. We stayed 3 nights in a Habitat... More
