This is a wonderful hotel with excellent food. It has a warm atmosphere, lovely lounges, and an old bar with wall murals. It's not in Barnard Castle: it is in beautiful country surroundings with very well maintained gardens. An excellent magical place. The staff are welcoming as are the owners.
