Our group of 30 senior travellers stayed a night on the way home from Victoria and this motel was a delight. Extra large room with queen bed plus single. Plenty of bench space in both kitchen and room. Dinner was delicious and the staff went out of their way to please. Would highly recommend this motel for the traveller looking... More

We have a son at Latchford barracks and for the past two years we have only ever stayed here. The rooms are beautiful and clean the staff are excellent and the rates are fair. More

Yes the rooms were a little dated but for the price it was awesome. The owners were real friendly the room was spacious, the spa was a welcome relief and the bed was really comfortable. We only went to Albury for a weekend away and this place really made our weekend away really nice. Room was very clean and Hotel... More

This motel is terribly dated. The new TVs wall mounted are the only signs of modern life, otherwise its a time warp to the 70's. It also smells really stale. The bedlinen is outdated, old fixtures. I wonder if it is in between new owners as they dont have a chef for the onsite restaraunt, however they do offer breakfast... More

No booking drive in, reception unattended, picked up the phone, someone appeared within a minute and was checked in a couple of minutes later. Room was bigger than expected with kitchenette and small dining table. Friendly staff at reception and the bar. Firm bed and good TV. Quiet location and enjoyed a walk by the river just over the road... More

This motel was nice for the overnight stay. I arrived just a the reception was locking up, yet he reopened and checkedme in. The price was ok, though maybe a touch expensive. Most of the facilities were closed by the time i checked in. I couldn't find the compendium, but the map on the door indicated a laundry in the... More

The Paddlesteamer looks impressive from the outside but we were sadly dissapointed when we saw our room. We had a spa room that was old and dated. It was winter so we needed to have the heating on - but it was really loud and smelt strongly of mould. The spa is in the main room, which is great as... More

Any positives were cancelled out by this visit. the bedside tables had not been cleaned and had sticky dirty marks, perhaps left by the previous incumbent, also what looked like short curly hair too sitting on the surface. This time the place felt like it just had not been cleaned properly. The TV reception only allowed viewing of about two... More

The best thing about the hotel is the price (<$100 aus). Otherwise, there are mixed feelings. The check-in night staff I met were great and super-helpful, the morning person was good but gave bad directions (fortunately, I ignored her directions). The rooms were comfy and clean, but they were clearly dated and a beat beaten up (AC / heating unit... More

I have stayed at the Sundowner Paddlesteamer twice over the past 3-4 years while en-route to Melbourne. Our decision to stay here was largely based on price, and having stayed here before. The price was around 30% less than on my previous stay, presumably due to the new freeway which bypasses Albury causing reduced demand for rooms. The ground floor... More
