A good venue if you want the choice of going to the Lakes, Solway Firth and west end of Hadrian's Wall. Very warm welcome (including glass of wine!), pleasant rooms, including the lounge, wonderful breakfast with luscious fresh fruit salad and helpful local advice. Happy to agree with all the good reviews below. Rooms were large, comfortable and well equipped. The ensuite bathrooms were separate adjoining rooms (not cubicles in the room).
