this was cheap, but i think that is no excuse for dirt up the walls, filthy lamp shade, dirty and cold bathroom.... the heated towel rail disconected for guests safty....... there was also a dog in the room above that woke us up in the night. would not take much more than 30 miniuts with a cloth and cleaning spray... As usual basic but fine, Reception on check in 20.4.12 very friendly lady, room fine, needs a little maintenance window catch broken, damaged desk etc but other than that all was fine. Nice hot shower, with tea and coffee etc, bed could do with changing! Costa coffee in the car park was great open 8-8 and a 20% disc with... More

This is a typical Travelodge in decoration, facilities and layout of the rooms. It is just off the M6 and has a Costa coffee house on site, together with the usual petrol station. If you are a light sleeper it is a bit too close to the M6 and traffic noise can become a bit much, but think it was... More

Saturday night stop over. Sunday morning - the Costa Coffee shop did not open until late. Not early enough to get breakfast! Room / bed was fine. Quiet. More

this is a good place to stop for a night if you are travelling a distance and need a rest. Not much to do there except the food courts at the service station. They are reasonably priced with various meal deals. It is just of the highway so you dont need to go into Carlisle and stay. More

Stayed for one night whilst on the way to Scotland. The rooms were tired and in need of an update as well as some repairs. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Requests for extra tea, millk and pillows were responded to in an equally friendly manner. The rooms are nowhere near the standard of Premier Inns which was reinforced by... More

I read the other posts and I thought I had made a big mistake booking this hotel. We booked sale rooms on the web and two nights cost £22.00. And that was exceptionally good value. What do you want from a hotel? A bed, a showed, a TV, a warm environment, cleanliness, nice staff. All here. Don't get me wrong... More

I booked two rooms for the Tuesday night and arraived about 22.00 hours. The entrance had a strange smell about it and both rooms were not really clean but I suppose just about ok. A typical travelodge that could do with updating and modenising. I should have gone to a Premier Inn instead. To get to the Inn if you... More

Knowing I was going to have a long drive from Dorset to Aberdeen, I decided to book into this Travelodge to break my journey. I wish I hadn't. The room was filthy and the dust thick on the TV and desk. The curtains appeared to have never been washed and I did not want to touch them. The bathroom -... More

Stayed here for one night while travelling the length of Britain, overall it's not a bad Travelodge at all, certainly not as bad as some reviews make out. On the downside, (as mentioned frequently here) there's no food option of an evening save for a petrol station. Rooms on the M6 side are within hearing distance of the motorway, so... More
