My only regret is that we only stayed one night! The house was absolutely charming. Kate took great care of us! The breakfast was delicious and very filling. I loved the sitting room which we enjoyed a lovely pot of tea upon our arrival. The bathroom in our room was very nice and state of the art. Good nights sleep... More

Finding Kate's delightful home on the internet, was everything we hoped for. Wanting a relaxing short break in a pretty village, Old Timbers could not have been bettered - old world charm, a friendly and most helpful host and a wonderful breakfast. Lots of extra touches made our time at Upper Faringdon just perfect, not least the cosy sitting room... More

Arriving in Upper Farringdon is like travelling back through time.Timber frame and thatched cottages, not to mention examples of topiary, all contibute to that wonderful old English village feel. But the receception and accomodation at Old Timbers is not a thing of the past. Kate will look after you royally at this beautiful old cottage and will always be avaiable... More

Stayed a night while visiting friends in Lower Farringdon. Did not meet the hosts the night we arrived (our frinds had booked and checked us in!!) but woke up to a fantastic breakfast with a fantastic choice of juices, fruits and a lovely cooked breakfast. Highly recommended for a relaxing break. More

Kate's B&B is a must if you are after a relaxing break in a beautiful house and a quiet and scenic area with plenty of hikes right on your door step. Kate's hospitality during our stay was brilliant too as she couldn't do enough for us and always made sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back again... More

This B & B was a great find in a quiet location in Hampshire. Kate makes you feel at home and treats you as an individual. Her place is ful of character and picturesque. The breakfast is beyond belief;, as well as a cooked full English breakfast there is a superb choice of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, toast and local preserves.... More

A highly recommendable B&B if you are looking for a place which combines modern comforts with rural charm. We had a very warm welcome by the hostess, who was also very helpful and knowing about the area. The breakfast was simply georgeous, with lots of choices to satisfy almost any personal taste. More

Old Timbers and Kate, our host, were simply delightful, in every respect. I was in Hampshire to work at the Chawton House Library and visit the Jane Austen House Museum in Chawton. Staying for three nights at nearby Old Timbers (a few minutes down the A32 in Upper Farringdon) was an unexpected bonus. As an American visitor, I especially loved... More

A charming country inn, in a very quiet neighborhood. Room is very comfortable. A very well appointed private bath is a few steps from the bedroom. The bedroom has its own wash basin and TV. Kate is a perfect hostess and helpful to those unfamiliar with Hampshire. The breakfast is full of choices and delightful. More
