We stayed here recently to visit our son and his wife who love in Exeter. It was easy to find using the instructions provided and there was a large car park. Checking in was easy and quick being undertaken by the barman. The room we has was at the back of the lodge away from the main road so it... More

Though a little out of Exceter it was well worth the short drive. It has a lovely country pub feel to it with a popular in house restaurant and bar, though no noise carried to our rooms. Seduced by the smells from the kitchen as we arrived we quickly dropped off our luggage and headed straight back to the dining... More

We went here for a meal with friends. The service was excellent, the food good with good sized portions & an imaginative menu. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming. Convenient location with a large carpark. More

We have used the restaurant here a couple of imes and been well pleased with the selection, preparation and the prices. Service is always with a smile - you are made to feel welcome. Both times (lunchtime) we had our 12 month-old great grandson with us and a special meal was put together for him. All in all, not the... More

We chose to stay here as we were visiting relatives nearby and the position was ideal for travelling around. Our room could only be described as perfect and we could not find a fault with it.Everything seemed to be just where you wanted it to be and it was spacious as well as cosy. We ate in the restaurant and... More

This is just a review of the restaurant so please read it as such. Lunched here with friends mid-week and a very pleasant experience. Good atmosphere, attentive staff (especially young Oliver) and really good value for money. 3 course lunch for just £10 and certainly not prepared down to a budget. Tomato and fennel soup was superb and whilst the... More

Anyone who says this place is not good value for money is talking through their xxxx bottom. No complaints, if it was 5 star and 5 star prices I would say that some of the carpets needed replacing - other than that nothing wrong with the place, comfy bed, warm room, good food, good beer and convenient. Go there you... More

The St George & Dragon is just a few minutes outside Topsham, it is has ample free parking, very nice rooms, a good menu and lovely real ales. The prices are a little on the high side, but cheap compared to London. The breakfast is a cold buffet, but very nice. The staff are very nice, and one lady in... More

We spent our annual week-end pre-Xmas break with friends at the St George and Dragon just outside Exmouth and were delighted with the excellent staff service, great food plus the comfortable and quaint surroundings. The evening meals are most definitely far above pub grub standard with some very interesting menu choices all presented and cooked to a high standard more... More

At last a pub a roadside pub that seem to take some pride & care over the food they serve. Delicious & sensibly priced food, in nice surroundings, little wonder when we stopped at 2pm on a Friday afternoon the restaurant was extremely busy. An extensive menu + 'Daily Specials' + the lunchtime special price 3 course selection, loads of... More
