Top notch all the way around, the hotel is located a little ways outside of Doolin (Northish?) on a hill which overlooks the Irish Sea. The hotel was originally a manor house and has beautiful architectural details. Dinner and breakfast were both very nice. This property was acquired by the family of the present owner/operator in 1938 from the O'Brien... More

We stayed one night, but it was our favorite hotel of our week in Ireland. We had an ocean view room-beautiful sunset. Ate dinner there, the food was superb. Decklin gave us a tour of the ruined castle which was extremely interesting. More

If you are traveling to Doolin, this is a don't miss. It is a lovely B&B, many rooms in a old house, with a real live castle on the grounds. Celia and Deckland are some of the loveliest hosts in Ireland and really made our trip extraordinary. They have a fine dining restaurant where we celebrated our last night with... More

My husband, mother and I have returned from another wonderful stay at the Ballinalacken. We return often, and one of the reasons is the hospitality of Declan, Cecilia, Mary and Denis O'Callaghan. They are consummate hosts, always pleasant, friendly, helpful and welcoming. We love the panoramic, spectacular views from the hotel, you can see the Cliffs of Moher and Aran... More

5 star experience for 4 star price! They were very good to negotiate with us a very reasonable 2 night B and B deal with dinner in their exceptional restaurant with a renowned top chef Michael Foley. My wife and I stayed two nights. The views from the room of the the Cliffs of Moher were amazing. The food at the resturant was great as well as the tour of the castle on the grounds. The location with its close proxmity to both the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren could not have been better. Overall this... More

Last summer I went to Ballinalacken with my family and we had a blast. Our room was cozy and nice. The breakfast is also delicious. The owner of Ballinalacken took us up to the old castle next door. It is pretty expensive, but I think it is very nice. We look forward to coming to Ballinalacken again. More

Unfortunately my wife and I were only able to spend a night in this amazing and historical bed and breakfast. We walked in and were quickly greeted by their friendly staff, it was very cozy in the sitting area as there was a peat fire burning! We were given a room towards the end of the hall and were able...
