When we booked our one night stopover I mentioned my walking difficulties and noted the "facilities for disabled guests" in the hotel description (booking.com). The room was imaculate, the dining room was characterful and the dinner and breakfast were of the highest standard. The owner was friendly and helpful. Beer was in peak condition. Unfortunately last orders on sunday night... More

What a great place ! A friend and I stayed for 3 nights to relax, catch up and explore the area. Gary,Julie and all the staff were very friendly and thanks to Gary's recommendations we found places we wouldn't have known about and steered clear of some we'd planned to visit ! We were lucky that the weather was great... More

In my opinion this establishment does not meet modern day customer expectations, particularly in the restaurant / bar areas where drinks were twice served to me in dirty rimmed glasses. The bar area lacks atmosphere and the whole appearance throughout the building gives the impression of 'seen better days'. In fairness to the Chef, the food was quite good and... More

My family and myself all stayed at the hotel, taking all of the rooms and everyone praised the excellent accommodation and the attention to detail, the rooms were beautifully clean, well decorated, light and... Stayed here 2 nights with family in a higgledy piggledy friendly village hostelry. Spotless bedrooms with modern facilities and period decor. Spacious, cozy public rooms with tasteful and eclectic mix of old and new technology- wood burner, LED lighting & magnifying candle sconces. Great breakfast, good beer from Bowland Brewery, bar food and the restaurant. Well worth a slight detour... More

We were very pleasantly surprised....a friendly welcome, shown to our room, lovely room, plus the bonus of a sitting room too. Good welcome tray, nice toiletries. Fresh, homemade food is served, all food is locally sauced using Honeywell meats, Dewlay cheeses, Pilling potatoes to name but a few All bedrooms have light decor and crisp furnishings, flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities; each room has a modern private bathroom with toiletries provided. The stylish restaurant provides hearty full English breakfasts and meals from fresh and local ingredients. Fresh fish and quality steaks are served, along with a daily changing specials board. The traditional bar includes a cosy log fire and a pretty, outdoor dining area.Scorton is a beautiful village set in The Forest of Bowland (designated an area of outstanding natural beauty)and is a delightful 30 minute walk from the market town Garstang, the surrounding area is full of scenic walking and cycling routes.
