We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crake Trees Manor in the Peasland suite. The room was comfortable, nicely furnished and very clean. The setting is beautiful, and the welcome warm. Excellent breakfast served in the main house. The nearby Butcher's Arms is very very good - we enjoyed two lovely meals there.Would highly recommend, and would stay there again if... More

I booked a night in the Shepards Hut for my partners birthday this weekend much to his surprise and delight. With the log burner on, all the candles lit and lying in bed with the stable door half open to see the endless views was a unique and breathtaking experience. I emailed Ruth to ask if she would be able... More

Our group stayed in two comfortable rooms inside the house. This B&B has a great rural setting and lots of individuality. There is a large sitting room with a log burning stove and tea making facilities. For evening meals the Butchers Arms community pub is about 15 minutes walk. Breakfast at Crake Trees is very good. Overall highly recommended.

My wife and I spent 3 nights this week at Brew House for our mini honeymoon. It was absolutely perfect for us. The cosy little building was decked out in lovely bespoke furniture and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The surrounding scenery was lovely and we enjoyed exploring. We would highly recommend the Butcher's Arms along the road. We went... More

We have just returned for staying a couple of nights in the Shephers Hut. Even though it was cold outside with the wood burning stove lit it soon made the hut so cozy. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Crake Tree Manor is the perfect place to stay, about 15 minutes walk from the... More

Thanks for the lovely review. On a very cold night with the fire going it really is comfortable in the Shepherds Hut. I'm glad you enjoyed the night sky, the stars are wonderful to see from our place, we have even seen The northern lights last week More

I just got back from a quick overnight stay in the shepherds hut. I wish we could have stayed for longer... Such a lovely place with stunning views, especially watching the sun raise over the hills this morning was stunning. I would visit again without hesitation. The family who run the B and B are also lovely genuine people who... More

me and my partner stayed last year in the shepherds hut, and our experience can only be described as devine. We were welcomed with warm open arms, and Mike even drove out to find us as we got lost. Ruth made a fantastic breakfast and we had more than enough variety to eat from. The shepherds hut itself was very... More

We stayed for 1 night (a Saturday) in October in the Shepherds Hut at Crake Tree Manor. The hut was perfectly laid out with lovely handmade furniture and atmospheric candles. The little cast iron stove was ready to light on arrival and gave off plenty of heat despite a cold evening. We left the top half of the stable door... More

We can't remember how many times we have stayed here now! This time staying for two nights in Peaslands, a fabulous room with en suite bathroom and mini kitchen and lovely view out over frosty fields in the morning. Extremely comfortable bed, (which can be a rare find) no cheap mattresses in this establishment! Breakfast was to die for, lovely... More

We spent 2 lovely nights in Crake Tress Manor. Both of our rooms were located inside the house, and they were spacious, comfortable and decorated with care and love. The breakfast was great, and so was the hospitality we were received with. The surrounding nature is beautiful.. The heart of the Lake District (Lake Windermere etc.) is a beautiful car... More
