After moving to Fermoy for work I booked a room in the Grand Hotel for a week with a view to finding long term accomodation by the end of the week. Long story short I ended up staying for 5 weeks. The hotel is traditional so little quirks like uneven floor boards in the rooms, narrow hallways and old fashioned... More

A friend and i booked in without knowing much about it. We were pleasantly surprised. Staff are great; very friendly and nothing was any trouble.Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Not 5-star but absolutely perfect. Excellent central heating system. Plenty of hot water in shower bathroom. The shower control was one of those much too sensitive types that one must be... More

Was staying here for a night recently and found the location was great. The view from my room (12) was fantastic overlooking the river. The room could do with a bit of modernisation. The shower was great but the toilet system made random churning noises throughout the night. Plenty of tea/coffee/sugar/sweetener in the room but no milk! The tv was... More

I recently held my Birthday bash here for family and friends of all ages from near and far and to the hotels eternal credit everyone was delighted with the evening/night. I dealt with a range of people in the run up to the event and each one was as proffessional and courteous as the next, nothing was too much trouble... More

Lovely hotel by the blackwater river We had lunch here and going by the crowds You can see why it's so popular. Seems to be a good lace for tourists at weekends tovest and listen to traditional music. Has a bar and dinning room menus. More

We stayed here for a few days in December and the service is second to none I cannot fault any of the staff members that we came in contact with they were so friendly and helpful,my only gripe was that the rooms are old and shabby the beds were ok its the bathroom was so small and dated the plumbing... Pat, Sorry this reply is coming a little late. Gremlins in the system seem to have upset our trip advisor notifications of a review. As the Grand Hotel is located in the heart of Fermoy town we are limited to on street parking on the quay directly outside the premises. The town itself is generally quiet and safe and we... More

It is with regret that I read your review. However, I am disappointed that you didn't post your comments in a more timely fashion.
