This is a great B&B in the charming village of Enisskerry. The house is lovely and very comfortable (large brass beds). The dining room is beautiful with a lovely large garden behind the house (and plenty of parking). The small village is quaint with some nice restaurants. The location is very convenient to Powerscourt and all of the northern Wicklow... More

After a couple of nights in Dublin, we escaped to the country. It was all a bit last minute, but we couldn't have been happier with our choice of location (Eniskerry is a lovely village, close to the sea and the mountains), and Ferndale is a great place to stay. The house itself is sweet and traditional, our hosts were... More

After almost a week in Dublin, we spent 3 nights at the Ferndale B&B, anxious for the quiet countryside. We were greeted by Josie with a pot of tea and her homemade muffins...aaah! The traditional Irish breakfast is made to order with many extras available on the sideboard, in a room filled with gorgeous antiques. Throughout our stay, Josie felt... More

The Ferndale is a beautiful home. My Host went above and beyond warm hospitality...he washed my jeans for me after i spilled potatoes on them! Thank you! The price was ok, some things in the rooms should be upgraded but i was only there to sleep. Just one thing before you shower make sure you have Towels!!!! Mine werent stocked... More

My husband, daughter and I ''happened upon" Ferndale, in our late-in-the-afternoon, off-season search for our first overnight stay. How pleased we were to spot this picture perfect, welcoming B&B! Although it was 5PM and we were very unexpected, Josie answered our knock on the door, and we were warmly welcomed. Our room was charming and beds were very comfortable. We... More

A great location is you would like to visit powerscourt estate & Glendalough. The hostsess is lovely. Visit the pub across the road for an evening meal..............though the B&B will not recommend it, as they have just changed hands and you know how susicious country folk in any country are of newcomers. The food was great, and who wants to... More

The only thing we found wrong here was that we didn't want to leave!! Our bedroom was more than adequate, and in 10 days B&B-ing in Ireland, had far and away the best pillows. The public rooms are truly lovely and the garden glorious...what a labour of love. The village is very convenient to Glendalough and offers much more choice (eating,pubs,great... More

Noel and Josie made us feel at home right away; our room was cozy on a chilly day, and breakfast the morning of our departure was delicious, served in a bright, elegant dining room shared with fellow travelers. The shower was smallish but adequate; take your shower early or late in the day as hot water is not relaible mid-afternoon... More

We stayed one night. Very disappointing. We didn't listen to FMW64's review, and it's too bad. The rooms are a little too old, and requires maintanance, at least room no 1. The beds are in a bad shape, as well as the carpets and the shower. It's not really bad, but as written, it can get better. The location for... More

Rooms were lovely and clean, very spacious. En-suite was ok as the shower was so old it was almost not worth it, I thought it was going to fall off the wall. Breakfast was only O'K, felt I was a nuisance asking for a second mouthful of orange juice! Fry was also O'K. Just 2 slices of toast between 2!... More
