Dolores is certainly a very fine hostess with a wonderful personality. She has heaps of energy and provided much enjoyment and comfortable lodging and a great price. more

My husband and I got married in Cratloe. We had various groups from the UK, Scotland and Germany all arriving at different times. Families, children and couples. Dolores couldn't do enough to help us for the big day. She arranged transport for airport runs, wedding day and of course up to Durty Nellies. I honestly could not find fault with... more

The hostess, Dolores is clearly a firecracker. (I asked her at one point if she had considered Ritalen.) She rushes around like a fast-moving butterfly, never stopping. She will plan for you, care for you and keep you engaged in conversation any time you like. The house is pleasant and extremely clean, and the breakfast wonderful. She gladly allowed us... more

We arrived in Ireland exhausted after a long flight, but our spirits were instantly lifted when Delores greeted us by name at the door with a hug and a big tray of tea, coffee and cake. We instantly felt welcome and at home. Although we were hours too early (our flight arrived at about 9:00 a.m.), she showed us to... more

Delores, the hostess at Bunratty Castle Mews, is definitely the highlight of this B&B! She is incredibly charming, warm and welcoming, and she strove to make each member of our family feel included in conversations. We're a family of 6 with children ages 17, 17, 16, and 10, and we had reserved two rooms: a family room for the four... more

I have been traveling in Ireland for 3 weeks. I can say with confidence that this is one of the nicest places I have stayed. I was greeted warmly, the entire place was clean and attractive and there are alot of little extras provided as a bonus. The owner is wonderful and I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting... more

Very friendly and courteous host and hostess. Delores met us at the door like we were long lost family. Breakfast was a joy. On our last day we had to leave very early in AM to catch a flight and we asked Delores if she could leave us some pastry or cereal. She insisted on getting up early and made... more

We actually spent 2 days...Our first and last day in Ireland. We had no problems with reserving rooms. Dolores actually called to confirm our booking after emailing her with our requests. Dolores greeted us warmly from the moment we arrived. We had an overnight flight from Boston and was able to have early check-in. She gave us hot water bottles... more

Options close to Shannon Airport are limited - so we were very pleased with our choice of Bunratty Mews. It was a bit further out of Bunratty than we had thought, but easy enough to find after giving Delores a call when we had got lost. It is on the road inbetween the castle and Dirty Nellies! Delores was most... more

All the positives about our hosts are correct. Breakfast was great. They even have a communal bar with a stocked fridge for after evening drinks. (small fee) Rooms were very quiet as I am a lite sleeper. Walk back from Creamery pub is about 3/4 mile but Dolores or Son will come and get you with a phone call. Very... more
