Very nice B and B Great location quiet even though it is on a main road. Proprietor very helpful finding a reservation for dinner even on a busy night ( a marathon was running in Ballyvaughan that day) He recommended hikes, and other restaurants as well. Fine breakfast many choices. Suoer large rooms, Only problem was a lack of hot... More

This was the last of five B&B's my husband and I stayed at during a two-week tour of County Clare, and was by far the most luxurious. There was a wonderful view of the Burren from the driveway and from our very large window. Cappabhaile House is large: from the entrance foyer, to the dinning room, to the welcoming family... More

We stayed two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a nice large room which was ideal for my husband and two grown children. The location of Cappabhaile is just outside of Ballyvaughan village but only a couple of minutes away so very easy to get to in the evening, where there is a good selection of restaurants.... More

I booked this B&B on the strength of other reviews and was surprised at how accurate they were. Lovely hosts full of information about the area, large clean rooms with really nice views of the Burren (we could see nesting birds from the window, too - kept the little one completely transfixed), and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom... More

We booked Cappabhaile House on a whim.We were traveling through Ireland with the attitude of the Irish.Margaret was marvelous,so hospitable and knowledgeable. She gave a brief run down of all the places to see, recommended the Lobster Pot restaurant. So we put down our luggage in this massive room with a beautiful view of the green pastures. The bathroom was big. There was an extra... It has been almost a 9 months since I checked into Cappabhaile House. I am going back to Ireland and I hope to at least stop in for one night during my travels this year. I will be on my fourth trip to the Burren which I find inspirational and recharging. Cappabhaile's staff and location are perfect. The food is... More

Stayed for 2 nights with my mum and dad. The room was massive and heaps larger than any other B & B we have stayed in. The room over looked the beautiful pasture out the back. Bathroom large. Great to have lots of space. As for the breakfasts, fantastic variety and absolutely delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. I especially... More

For us, it was a last minute decision to stay back overnight in Co Clare, and it was worth the time and money. POSITIVES: - Terrific hospitality - even borrowed Conor's phone charger for my BB - Awesome views - with the mountains and the meadows - Very spacious rooms - accommodated a family of 4 - including one teenager... Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner. The room was lovely - very spacious, clean, comfy bed and lovely view of the countryside. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the free pool table added a touch of fun. The only downside was the shower which was pretty weak, but i had a bath instead which was probably... More

Well, maybe not perfection, but pretty close to it. The hosts couldn't be nicer and more sincerely accommodating. The room was large and designed for comfort with views of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was more than ample, and the general warmth of the place in the, shall we say 'challenge' of the Burren wilderness was delightful. Great people running... More
