Reena and Tom were gracious hosts for our one night in Athlone. Their home is "lived in" - a few finger prints on the doors - but clean where it's important. The bed was comfy - towels seen better days. We enjoyed our breakfast, and conversation with Tom.

The B&B was hard to find, but eventually we got there. We were welcomed by the owners, who looked very grubby and stained. They didn't look very interested. I booked two nights in this B & B with my two cousins, as a base for looking for distant Irish relatives in the area. When we arrived, it didn't look like the picture on the Go Ireland website. As soon as we got through the door, it smelled musty. My bedroom has a dirty blind, cobwebs in the corner.... More

We have just returned from Ireland and we stayed at the Reeside for 2 nights. We arrived at about 7pm and the oweners Tom and Rena made us feel very welcome and gave us a cup of tea. This was a wonderful place to stay. We got lost trying to find it in the dark and the owner drove out to meet us. When we got back to the B&B he insisted on serving us tea, orange juice and cookies. Rooms were a bit dated but clean. Wonderful people, and a great place to be our last B&B... More
