This hotel is rather faded and just a little bit grubby round the edges. Beware one thing, some of the rooms are smoking and don't appear to be segregated into one separate area but alternated along the corridor, so there is a smell of stale smoke about which could be a problem for some people. The bed was a bit... More

Stayed here for a week whilst working locally in athlone. Hotel staff are friendly and deal with all your needs and requests. Breakfast is served with a large variety of cooked items plus plenty of toast and a continental option. Garage outside hotel has a shop with reasonable prices. Mcdonalds next door to. Subway and Domino's opposite. Ideal for commuters... More

Went to this hotel to celebrate my Aunt's 89th Birthday and we had a great night. There were quite a few of us together from kids right up to octogenarians and everybody enjoyed the evening. We had an all in deal of €40pp for dinner bed and breakfast which to my mind, is extremely good value. The food was very... More

I stayed here the weekend, the price was good, there was nothing wrong with the room I stayed in but be careful to order a non smoking room cause the smoking rooms really smell of stale smoke, Food was only ok and over priced. All of the staff I dealt with where lovely,

This hotel is off a roundabout on the eastern outskirts of Athlone Town, close to Junction 8 of the M6/N6. It is in a small complex of shops with a garage that has a good deli counter. It is well located midway between Dublin and Galway and close to the River Shannon and Clonmacnoise monastic site. During a mid-week stay... More

Had 2 double rooms booked for a weekend away with friends. Got there at 3.30, picked up the keys to our rooms & this is where it all went downhill. Our friends room hadnt even been cleaned, the stench of stale cigarette smoke was just disgusting! Went back down to reception, she changed them to another room, it was a... More

We stayed for one night recently, the room was clean and had everything you need. Its not a five star, but perfect as just somewhere to sleep. Staff were pleaseant and helpful. Food o.k. It was a little noisy that night, but there were lots of kids staying there, so not really a problem.

Got a deal for this hotel for 2 nights and it was brilliant value. It is about a half an hour walk into Athlone but even with that and/or taxi fares would still do it again if visiting the area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel has a lovely homely, intimate feel. We ate there on... More

Stayed here on a deal rush deal, cheap and cheerful. Deal included a main course, which was lovely. I would say the hotel is a bit dated but very clean. Staff were very helpful and nice too deal with. Would defiantly stay here again, perfect for a nite out in Athlone.
