Staying here was lovely. Anna served hot tea and muffins upon arrival (even though I got in terribly late) and was a wealth of information about local attractions and directions for my journey next day to Dublin, even drawing me a map which worked splendidly. I was pleased with everything she recommended, including Brennan's Pub down the street where I... More

My wife, son and I began our Irish odyssey staying at Wandesforde House. First of all it is the perfect distance from Dublin to arrive from the US, drive to the house, grab a quick nap and then see some of the beautiful sights a short distance away. The house itself is beautiful, comfortable, convenient, quiet, and charming since it... More

Anna and Michael made me feel like a member of their family. They have a beautiful B&B in the midlands o Ireland. Much to see discovery park, lakes to fish, ancient buildings, deep caves a great thrill for children..If you have ancestors in the area Anna will direct you to the proper information centre. Also a real treat city of Killkeny only... More

We met Michael first who showed us to our room, helped us carry our luggage in and gave us good advice on where to eat lunch. Later we met Anna and realized very quickly that we were spending three days with a very special family in this restored historic school house. Breakfasts were incredible, cooked to order and Anna very... More

We spent two weeks in Ireland, staying in B & B's throughout the country. Wandesforde House was absolutely the best! It is beautiful and clean. We sat in the garden and relaxed in the gorgeous sun room, and at the end of the day we fell asleep in the most comfy bed ever! Anna and Michael are delightful and kind,... More

A lovely B&B. The hosts were very accommodating especially given that we arrived un-announced late at night, they were incredibly friendly; the breakfast was fantastic as well. We would definately stay there again. More

I first stayed at the delightful Wandesforde House, Moneenroe, County Kilkenny Ireland in the summer of 2000. I was attending the Brennan Family Reunion in nearby Castlecomer and I was looking for a nice place near the old family home in Moneeroe. I fell in love with Anna McDonald and her wonderful family. The home is beautifully restored from the... More
