I first stayed at the delightful Wandesforde House, Moneenroe, County Kilkenny Ireland in the summer of 2000. I was attending the Brennan Family Reunion in nearby Castlecomer and I was looking for a nice place near the old family home in Moneeroe. I fell in love with Anna McDonald and her wonderful family. The home is beautifully restored from the school it once was and so convenient to everything in the area and surrounding counties. From polished wood floors and homey fireplace burning nightly to lovely gardens and her homemade granola, everything is just a delight. This hidden jewel should not be missed if you are visiting the area. more
