I have to give this B&B a well-deserved 5 out of 5. About 2-3 minutes walk from the centre of kinsale it is in a quiet location opposite St John the Baptist church. The church bells do ring but from what I noticed they didn't seem to chime after 6 or 7 pm and they didn't chime until 8 in... More

My husband and I recently stayed at Cloisters for 4 nights. We couldn't have asked for anything better. This bed and breakfast is immaculate and the two ladies who run it are extremely accomodating and good cooks! The breakfast was wonderful and when we needed anything at all, the hosts were right there to help us out. This place is... More

We arrived quite a bit early and though our room wasn't ready, our kind hostess showed it to us (large, with a separate dressing area, cute and well appointed), then gave us tips for eating, walking around, sights, shopping, and music. The Cloisters is in a great location for walking around in the old city, and has a public car... More

The Cloisters was among our top two B&Bs during our 3-week trip through Ireland. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The bathroom had an actual tub, which was wonderful for soaking in after a long day of walking. Breakfast was a real treat, with lots of options. The B&B is right in the main part of town, with east... More

Cloisters B&B in Kinsale is a fantastic B&B. The location couldn't be better in the heart of Kinsale within a few minutes walk to everything - restaurants, cafes, pubs, forts, music, etc. The rooms and the house are beautifully decorated and fresh. The breakfasts were top notch and all prepared to order. The best though were the hosts - Orla... More

Our first trip to Ireland began in Kinsale. We couldn't have asked for more from Orla. We arrived in Kinsale four hours before we were to check in, but she told us to come in, go nap (from the overnight flight from New York) and come back downstairs when we were ready to start our vacation - warm and inviting... Cloisters is an exceptional B&B!! The location is perfect - on the edge of the town centre, just a couple of minutes walk into the town but far enough out to not be kept awake by the nightlife. The owner Aileen is really friendly and helpful, and little touches like a weekly list of what pubs have what live music... More

There were 6 of us in our group and we all loved our stay here. The rooms were spotless, charming and very comfortable. Breakfasts in their lovely breakfast room were great especially the scrambled eggs and salmon, the ladies couldn't do enough for us. Location is excellent just a short walk to everything. We all would recommend staying at The... More
