We stayed here for two weeks. We had a gorgeous room large and spacious, great food and the views were exceptional. Mary and Jimmy included us in like we were family. Their children were very accepting of us as well making us feel like we belonged there all the time. The festivals were going on at the time of our... More

My husband and I were far from impressed by Kinsale but we LOVED staying at the Blue Horizon. It is about 10 minutes outside of Kinsale in Garrettstown and is a pub and B&B. We spent most of our nights hanging out with the locals in the pub at the B&B who were extremely friendly. We had a great time.... More

No need to repeat the sentiments already expressed, a great place with fantastic views. The walk down to the edge of the rocks is very nice. We were looking for a quiet stop and were a little worried about the advertised bingo/pub nights but it turned out that our night was in between the entertainment. It was peaceful and quiet,... More

Likes - superb location away from civilisation, set on a rise overlooking the sea, but very convenient for getting to Kinsale and Cork. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Dislikes - limited hot water; the breakfast was spartan, and the wooden blinds in the bedroom were hopeless at one of their main functions which is to keep the light out.... More

The Blue Horizon is a lovely B & B right on the coast outside of Kinsale. The rooms are very nice and we had a great view as well. We had a fabulous meal at the Speckled Door just a few minutes down the road and then went back to the pub at the B & B which was filled... More

The Blue Horizon B&B and Bar is beautifully located on a cliff overlooking the ocean, near the beach of Garretstown, close to Kinsale, co Cork, Ireland. It is run by a lovely and very hard working family, who provide a feasty breakfast in the morning and work in the bar in the evening. We stayed for four days in a... More

We stayed at the Blue Horizon last weekend for three nights and had a fabulous time. The Blue Horizon is a great place to stay if you want to explore the magnificent coast line of South East Ireland and we jam packed our days easily. Mary is a lovely host and was very generous with her directions and tips for... More

I have just returned from a four night trip with family, staying at the Blue Horizon in Garretstown, Kinsale. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Jim spent time showing us places of interest which we probably would never have found if left to our own devices. Mary's humour... More

We first visited Kinsale/Blue Horizon in 2008. We both immediately fell in love with the town, the views, the staff, and the healthy number of locals who frequented the pub at night. I won't get into too much detail, most of the other reviews are spot on, but some of our experiences here have been tremendous. Our second trip in... More

The drive out to Blue Horizon is beautiful and when you arrive at the B & B the view of the ocean just opens up. I was in Ireland for two weeks and stayed at multiple B& B's along the way and I wished I had stayed the whole two weeks at just this one. To be fair, not all... More
