We hadn't made any reservations in Kinsale and decided to knock on the door of this B&B when we arrived. Phil was surprised to see us but was very accommodating. She was painting the upstairs rooms but let us stay in the main floor room. The beds are very comfortable and we had our best sleep of the trip here.... More

We stayed here in March, and I am behind on leaving my reviews. We had a great view from our room's window, and the whole house was quite clean and simple. The landlady was a bit distant, but I imagine having guests in your house constantly is hard at times. That being said, she made us a wonderful breakfast and... More

We stayed at the Danabel Bed and Breakfast for 2 nights. Our room was very clean and our bed was by far the most comfortable bed I slept on during our 2 week vacation. Phil, the owner at first seemed reserved but after talking to her we realized that she is a very sweet and a wonderful host. I had... More

Our room at Danabel was small but very clean and the beds were very good. We also chose this location because of the advertised short walk to town, but did not realize the walk was down and then back up a VERY steep hill that would be a challenge for anyone not in fairly good physical condition. We were disappointed... More

My Girlfriend and I stayed here in July of 2009. The rooms are small, but comfortable and while others have commented on the size of the bathrooms, they are quite standard for European bathrooms. We usually left early in the morning and returned later in the evening, so our interactions with the hosts was limited, by they were very friendly... More

THE GOOD: The location is good, very short walk to town, it is up a short, but steep hill. The beds are super comfortable. If you get the right room, the view is beautiful. THE BAD: Room and bathroom are TINY, the shower pressure was not good, and the hostess was very rushed & curt. More

I thought the Danabel was a good value and a very nice B&B. After staying in hotels in city centers, this was a nice change of scenery. The location is excellent and I agree with the other posters -- it is a short walk down a VERY steep hill. We had a double room and my parents had a double/single.... More

We stayed only one night at this b&b, but it was definitely a plece we would return to. The room was clean, the owner was friendly and extremely service-minded. The b&b is situated in a quiet residential area, but it is still only a short walk to the centre of the town. As seemed to be the rule rather than... More

We were lucky to get this reservation on Easter Weekend. Great place, rooms were tiny but neat, and bathrooms fine. Breakfast was great, and met some new folks. Perfect for what we needed. Liked Phil and Molly her dog! Recommended. More
