We have stayed in many hotels in Ireland and Europe with our children for all kinds of occasions but the Quality Hotel And Leisure Centre in Clonakilty was exceptional. The location, accommodation, cleanliness and excellent staff make this hotel our first choice for future breaks. Our children whose ages ranged from 8 to 13 were more than satisfied with the... More

Stayed in family room for one night. Check in was friendly but slightly put out with having to wait 20 mins for our room despite arriving at 2.45pm. Minor gripe though. The room was very nice and had everything we needed. The pool is nice but the swimming lanes mean that space with kids can be tight. Breakfast was very... More

Just arrived back from a weekend in the Quality Hotel Clonakilty, exceptionally good weekend, kids facilities were excellent, two children aged 4 and aged 8 were very happy, and parents happy too. Jungle Gym was great, pool was fab, decor was a bit old but quite adequate. I had only one or two small grievances, the bedroom we were in... More

Thank you for your comments and we were glad to hear that you enjoyed your overall stay and experience at the hotel. We believe the hotel prices to be reasonable and carvery lunch is good value at €9.95 with a free tea or coffee. There are very few hotels that have children’s facilities such as a Jungle Gym, Teen Zone,... More

Visited between Christmas and the New Year and was a bit disappointed compared to previous trips. Whilst it was very clean it was a bit "tired" looking and needs a revamp. Lovely pool however play area could be improved a bit more in terms of content. Food was OK only - which was disappointing as it was fantastic (as hotel... More

Thank you for your comments. Many of the staff here have been with the hotel for a long time and take pride in their work so it was particularly refreshing to hear that they went “the extra mile” for you during your stay. We were disappointed however to hear your feedback in relation to the play area. Facilities such as... More

Stayed here recently for one night while on business. After the gym which was quite well equipped I was ravenous!! The food was not special at all! I should have gone into the town, but it would do if you were tired and just wanted something quick. Breakfast was nice, but im not sure the black pudding they used was... More

Thank you for your feedback and we were surprised to hear that your experience of our food in the evening was different to the breakfast in the morning. I am unsure from your comments exactly what was unappealing, but I assure you that we aim for a high standard for all meals in the hotel and if this is not... More

We stayed here over New Year and had very enjoyable time. Great facilities for kids of all ages, staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely pool facilites and play area where we left the kids while we enjoyed coffee in the on-site coffee dock. Have stayed there numerous times and always enjoy the buffett breakfast. Food is always hot and... More

We stayed in the two bed room apartments last week for three nights, we have two children so this was perfect for us. They are very comfortable, quiet and have lots of towels and good quality soaps etc. This hotel is very family friendly and children are allowed into the bar a bit later than most hotels which is great... Thank you for your feedback. It is great to hear that you enjoyed your time in Clonakilty and in the hotel. As you mention, the apartments are a great option for families or groups as they have two sepearate bedrooms and the living area for relaxing in the evening. We are mindful that during school holidays, as the majority of... More

Stayed here over the New Year with family and regretted it shortly after booking in. The decor is outdated. Rooms were clean enough but very basic. The facilities for kids are very good. The bar in the hotel was packed and too small for the guests attending. People were spilling out in all directions....into the restaurant, foyer, staircase, outside the... More

Thank you for your comments. We are unsure of your issues in relation to the bedrooms as all bedrooms are ensuite, with flatscreen TV and DVD player. They have a mini-fridge for your own use, iron & ironing board, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. If a guest wants something particular, they can contact reception and wherever possible we will do... More
