Had Lunch on a week day, value for money !!! But the trout tasted slightly gone off. Couldn't get any salt or pepper from the cruet set since there were set inside !!! Definitely need some upgrading !!!

Stayed for my second time last night and had another lovely stay. The hotel is quaint and you couldn't pick a better location in Clonakilty. The reception staff are absolutely adorable. The hotel bar is a seriously good spot with a great mix of people and both times we ended up staying in there for hours when we only planned... More

We stayed for 2 nights recently and being in the centre of town was very useful for exploring and having the car park at the back was very handy. The hotel was full of character and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was nice to be somewhere that wasn't sleek and corporate but full... More

Just come back from my second stay at O'Donovans and it was even better than the first. It's very central in the town and so ideally situation for the surprisingly good shopping (I come from London, and it was refreshing to have a change from the English high street). Yes - it could do with a bit of updating in... More

We often have dinner in O'Donovans and find the food lovely and value for money. Nothing is really over priced and they have a Good Value menu bottle of wine for 10 euro. The management and staff are always very welcoming and helpful and we will definitely be back.

Clonakilty is a great town and if you're looking for somewhere central to stay, O'Donovan's is ideally located. My husband and I spent 1 night in Clon in July of this year. The bad flooding had happened only a week or so before our visit and to be fair, one would have to excuse the downstairs floor repairs that were... More

If I had more than 5 stars to give the service at this quaint hotel I would! Mother Nature threw Clonakilty a curve ball with recent flooding and Tom, the owner, had to adjust and accomodate and rose to the challenge with grace and true Irish hospitality! I have never stayed at a hotel with better service. Even when we... More

Stop #2 in Ireland and what a great place! A few doors along from De Barra's for anyone interested in top quality live Irish music, and loaded with atmosphere and warmth. A world away from sterile modern hotel, O'Donovan's is easy to find (it's right in the main street) and hard to leave. Free wifi was handy, and the breakfasts... More

This is an old hotel -- 5 generations of the family have managed -- in the very center of this small and vital town. It is the "heartbeat" with music in the bar, good craic, super helpful and friendly staff, 2 weekly markets in their parking lot, and generally all that you go to Ireland for. Stay here. It is...
