You owe it to your vacation to live at the Coolcower House during your stay. My wife and I were there for seven days, but left thinking we had "lived " there. Evelyn and Mary will be your favorite "Aunts", taking care of all your needs, from fresh home-cooked breakfast to bed-time tea. Dan and John, longtime local patrons of... More

Coolcower lived up to our expectations. My mom and I spent the first 4 nights of our vacation with Evelyn and Mary. The view was the best of our travels, the setting was tranquil and relaxing, the food was excellent, and the location was perfect for touring West Cork and Kerry. Evelyn was very kind and eager to meet our... More

It may be called Coolcower, but the welcome that awaits you is far from COOL. Its the warmth and kind hospitality that you feel upon entering, which lasts throughout your trip and long after. This is a wonderful house, steeped in time and memories of days gone by....with glorious views and breathtaking scenery, it's one of the very few places... More

This is a lovely place and a glimpse of the true Ireland. We always stay full board, the food and atmosphere cannot be bettered anywhere. Evelyn and Mary are wonderful hosts and everything runs like silent clockwork. If I could I would stay here forever and likely live to be 100. Peter and Heather More

Coolcower House in Coolcower east of Macroom, 1 night. Old, almost like a castle but comfortable with an adjoining lounge- which was empty. It deserves the good ratings. Recommended. More

From the perfect location we had easy access to all of county cork, the beare penninsula, gougan barra, and all the day trips we wanted to take. Evelyn was the greatest hostess I could have hoped for, addressing every need quickly and professionally. The rooms were perfect and the view from our window beautiful and romantic. Breakfasts were hearty, tasty,... More
