A very warm and friendly welcome on arrival. After which we retired to our very comfortable room. The downstairs lounge area was also very comfortable. Directions given and small journey to nearby restaurants for a good meal. Would have loved to have stayed longer had time permitted. more

I’ve stayed in many truly lovely B&Bs, but Lough Key House is made extraordinary by its hostess. Frances has a real gift for every aspect of her role, and clearly delights in it. In the morning, after one of the best showers I’ve had in Ireland – hot with plenty of water pressure – I tucked into an incredibly generous... more

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Lough Key House. This beautiful home is over 200 years old. From the time we arrived Frances made us feel welcome. Frances was very hospitable. We stayed in the Red room for 1 night. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We chose this place to stay based on other reviews.... more

Spent only one night in this lovely guest house but it was perfect. There is amazing art everywhere to compliment the antiques; and the grounds are just as beautiful. We booked the Blue Room with a view over the garden but enjoyed some time in the living room before going to dinner. Later we sat in front of our own... more

I consider my stay at Lough Key House to be, by far, the highlight of my visit to Ireland. I will be sending all my friends and relatives to her lovely home. Frances treated us like princesses and fed us like kings. Although the weather was very poor she made us feel comfortable and we relaxed by the fire most... more
