My family and I was travelling around Ireland, final stop was Mayo. Mary and Tom were exceptional hosts with a warm welcome, good advice on local things to do and places to eat and a great breakfast to start the day off with. The house was homily and clean, the bedrooms spacious and spotless, I would recommend end this home... More

We visit Ballina 2 or 3 times a year for the fishing and for the last 6 times we have stayed at Belvedere which is run by a lovely couple Mary and Tom for whom nothing is too much trouble. We have a 4 hour drive up from Co. Wexford and usually arrive about 11am whereupon Mary lets us unpack... More

The rooms were spotless and very comfortable but the breakfast was nothing special as compared with the many others we stayed with throughout our four weeks. The GPS coordinates were way off (the only time we experienced this in our entire stay) and took us in a completely different direction from the confusing to navigate town of Ballina. then, the... I’m used to staying in faceless corporate business hotels so it was a great pleasure to stay in this family run guest house. My wife and I stayed here and were made to feel very welcome by the owners; Mary and Tom. The room was spotless, homely and comfortable. I had a tasty full Irish for Breakfast and my wife... More

My story is not unusual ... I suffered the same fate as the Italian family who arrived a few minutes before I did. Both of us were told upon arrival that our reservations were given to others! I was a single ... the other couple had young children. We all arrived at ~7PM ... needless to say we were upset.... More

Belvedere B&B is run by a friendly couple but the property needs updating. It is however a handy five minute walk from the town and we can highly recommend the local pub Paddy Jordans for fabulous food and varied menu (Indian, Chinese, Mexican and Irish). It was refreshing to find service with a smile, something that we, the Irish used... More

Stayed at the Belvedere House for 1 night in April 2007. The stay was o.k., but the Belvedere House was nothing special. The room and bathroom were o.k. The complimentary coffee however was undrinkable. The breakfast was o.k. but could have done with far more choice. The food at the nearest pub however was fantastic. It specializes in Indian food...
