We stayed at Red River Lodge for three nights. We where with two couples and all enjoyed our stay. Dolores made us feel at home and in the morning we had a wonderfull breakfast. Furthermore she told us much about things to do and see. From our rooms we had beutifull views over the river. Really enjoyed our stay.

I made the terrible mistake of thinking I had booked in the other city of Ballina, and did not realize my mistake until arriving into the cit of Ballina outside Limerick. Dolores graciously accepted my apology and refunded my money. So appreciative of her quick response and compassion. A true testament of the character of the folks that run this... More

My wife and I have stayed at a wide-variety of B&Bs throughout Ireland over the years. Many were excellent, but the Red River Lodge B&B ranks very high on our list of favorites. From the very moment we drove into the driveway, we knew we were in for a great experience. The grounds and house are beautiful and very well... More

Red River Lodge was just perfect in every way. Dolores is an extremely welcoming hostess, and it was a great pleasure to meet her and discuss different Irish issues before and after a very good breakfast (don't miss the pancakes). She has a lot of geniume interest in her guests, and that is a wonderful feeling. She helped us a... More

We stayed two nights and were very pleased with the hospitality, the clean room with our own bathroom, the nice homemade breakfast, the beautiful og relaxing garden and the hostess` effort to help us with everything we needed. Will absolutely stay there again if we are in the neighbourhood. Gry from Norway :-)

This review is based on a trip to Ireland from June 2nd to 19th when my wife and I stayed in 7 B&B. So there is both a comparative and an absolute dimension in these rankings. Weather was more humid and cold than normal. Stayed there one night. Instructions to find it were a bit imprecise (last stretch much closer... More

We needed a place that was close to the museum and settlement of Ceide Fields. This lovely setting overlooking the river was just perfect. Dolores has built a lovely place with one of the nicest gardens. She directed us to a pub a few blocks down the road, also sitting on the river front and we had one of our... More

This is the absolute finest room and hostess we ever had. You think you are staying in a 5star hotel. The room and bathroom are very spacious with lots of closets and drawers to put your clothes and things away. Rooms are very clean and beds are made every day. We had a room overlooking a stunning panoramic view of... More
