We stayed over st patricks day march 11, this is my first time on trip advisor and this is our first review. We have travelled the world but this hotel is by far one of the friendliest, beautiful hotels we have stayed in. The rooms were perfect and very clean! The staff were so helpful and went out their way... More

Went for New Year with my wife. We have stayed in very good hotels in many countries but this matches or exceeds anything we have experienced. Great food, great rooms, great atmosphere. Excellent all round - thank you More

Where to start?!? Dingle was hands down our favorite part of Ireland and Castlewood house made it even better! The hosts were outstanding, providing us with a map and pointing out great pubs and restaurants as well as other not to miss locations. The ring below Dingle is home to some of the most beutiful landscape I have ever laid... More

Massive bathtub and luxurious bed sheets etc ..weather wasn't great when we were there but complimentary dvds so we were sorted!amazing pancakes for breakfast, one of the best places to... More

Having toured much of Ireland, we were aware there are a number of great B & Bs to be found and Castlewood certainly falls into this category. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with good quality outfitting. I can also confirm the speck of dust a previous reviewer mentioned has since been removed and the place is spotless. Breakfast was as... More

I generally prefer older places when I travel to Europe. In general I like the character that comes with aging. Castlewood is not old. However, every aspect of our stay was so nice that my preferences became irrelevant. The B&B itself is basically a large house with some common space on the 1st floor, along with the dining/breakfast area. The... More

Helen and Brian run the most pristine B&B we have ever had the pleaseure of staying in. We stayed for 5 nights on a mini-honeymoon after our wedding. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Breakfast each morning was a wonderful treat and set us up for a day of walking and exploring. Having visted Dingle many many... More

An excellent property run perfectly. Brian has the ability to run a five star hotel, so running a five star b and b comes easily to him. He cooks an amazing breakfast, while his wife Helen does a remarkable job running the front of the house. You not only get directions to pubs and restaurants, but to the local hardware... More

From start to finish - fine little details made this a wonderful experience. Helen is charming, entertaining and engaging and Brian cooks a fantastic breakfast - the combination of which pretty much is why you stay at a B and B. This is described as a Hotel - but it seemed like a combination of B and B and hotel... More

The Castlewood House is near perfection. Our room was lovely - especially the bathroom, which was brand new with a whirlpool tub. We felt the warm welcome of an intimate B&B with the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Helen and Brian were wonderful! They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and pubs, not that we needed to eat much... More
