We booked two rooms for single occupancy as we wanted to be near Kenmare and get a quiet place to get some desk work done away from home. Hospitality was great, quiet atmosphere, quick access to restaurants, comfortable rooms and beds, lovely view and surroundings, good breakfast, great hosts. More

Whenever I talk about our trip to Ireland, I talk about Marian and Morty O'Sullivan. I cried when I said goodbye . Morty gave us a pound of their delicious coffee...a spontaneous gesture of kindness....They were kind and loving .. as beautiful as the Irish landscape ...I cried all the way from Kenmare to Killarney! I was so moved by... More

The owners went out of their way to make our 5 night stay enjoyable and comfortable. We had a lovey room with views across Kenmare Bay and mountains. Beautiful quiet location on the Beara Peninsula, just 5km from the bustling town of Kenmare. Lovely room with balcony and we slept very well! Excellent breakfast, cooked to order with delicious home... More

We stayed there for 2 nights and had a very good time. The bnb is ideally located in the ring of Keara, a short drive away from Kenmare. The room was clean and cozy and had a great view on a field where were 3 horses. Marian and her husband were great hosts, very attentionate without being intrusive. They even... More

Our stay at Oakfield was superb! Our room was very cozy and comfortable with a lovely view. There was a nice table and two chairs right in front of the window where we relaxed and read for a bit before going out for dinner. It was a nice quiet location in the country. Marian and Morty were so warm, friendly... More

Very clean, cozy rooms... had the best rest of the whole trip here! Delicious breakfast in the morning, the O'Sullivans were delightful hosts and great cooks! Sail Inn down the road had the BEST Fish and Chips of our trip to Ireland. Lots of pubs and shops in Kenmare within walking distance. More

Every B&B tries to include something unique to make it memorable. Marion and Morty are so warm and welcoming that they need nothing else to encourage you to stay there...but the shower in the room we had was the best in Ireland! Our room was large with a slanted ceiling (it's upstairs overlooking the front door) and has a small... More

Good honest friendly welcome, great breakfast/well cooked (if you can find better scrambled egg with salmon slices tell me,you won't) and the home made soda bread is superb. Marion and her "other half" best people you will meet whilst you on holiday. ps Good value for money too. More

We stayed at Oakfield on the 2nd night of our honeymoon. It was a little hard to find, but other than that we had a great stay. I can't say enough about our host and hostess, Marian. They were such kind people and we really enjoyed getting to know them. Marian's husband was such a wonderful person to meet. He... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights here. The location is good as it's between the Ring of Kerry & the Ring of Beara. We drove the Beara Peninsula the day of our arrival. The next day we opted for a day of less driving and went to Killarney National Park--about 30 minutes to be in the park. Oakfield is... More
