We visited in mid March 2011 and arrived around dark, a little later than we wanted. But Brendan was there to welcome us and allowed us to have pick of an upstairs or downstairs room. We stayed in the first floor room and were a little disappointed. The room was a not tiny but not as large as some we... More

From the moment we arrived Brendan made us feel at home. The Abbey Court is huge, with numerous rooms in which one can relax and enjoy the views. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable. Abbey Court is located adjacent to a ruined abbey and graveyard, which is interesting to explore. It is a healthy walk to the main... More

While pasting the address of Abbey Court into an email to a friend today - who's planning on going there with two other couples in the spring of 2012 - I realized that I hadn't actually reviewed our stay there last April. Not that Abbey Court needs any more amazing reviews, but here's another one anyway! It was the BEST... More

Kenmare is a terrific place to base yourself if you're going to be exploring this remarkable part of Ireland. It's a beautiful little town, packed with friendly bars and eateries. Situated between the Kerry and Beara Peninsulas, and not far from Dingle, it's perfectly located for your County Kerry holiday. And Abbey Court is a great place to stay while... More

As stated by others, Brendan met us with tea and cookies. He was so nice and helpful, sat with us and asked us about our trip so far and what we wanted to do in Kenmare. I can't say that we had a bad B&B experience while we were in Ireland; however, I can say that Brendan and his wife... More

Abbey Court is probably set in one of the most beautiful settings, the view is just awesome so be sure and ask for a room with a view. There are also many public areas where you can see the view of the sea and mountains from. The bedrooms and public areas are all very well furnished with good quality fittings... More

As stated by others, Brendan met us with tea and scones. The B&B is beautiful and it is a 12 to 15 minute walk to downtown Kenmare. We had car troubles with a rental company and Brendan helped us all the way to its successful conclusion. He even volunteered to drive us to Cork to get another rental car but... More

Abbey Court is a really wonderful place to stay. The owners Brendan and his wife are very warm and friendly and go out of the way to help with travel plans, even giving us a drive into town on a wet evening. The rooms are lovely too with very comfy beds and a strong power shower. Breakfast is great also,... More
