Very friendly and helpful hotel, very beautiful out in the seating area as you go into hotel. Went with elderly parents who were very fussy, but nothing too much problem excellent waitress. Food very nice, parents even managed half portions. Lovely meal & will be back next time in Ireland More

An old hotel with a dignified air, the Lansdowne Arms has been up-dated and cared for, offering comfortable rooms and a convenient location. The desk staff were not uncivil, but they were the least welcoming we encountered in three weeks' touring rural Ireland. The breakfast had a meager feeling, particularly in a town which serves as a base for hiking,... More

Good location with parking. Very quite and slept well. Great breakfast and you must try their award winning porridge with honey, whiskey and with another secret ingredient?. I wonder would I have passed the breath test on leaving. All staff were friendly and helpful. I have stayed there before and will stay there again. More

The hotel is very centrally located in town and you can walk anywhere. The room was well priced (80 Euro with breakfast) and the woman at the desk was lovely. However our room was dated and the bed uncomfortable. I honestly didn't sleep a wink. We were also on the first floor and had to keep the curtains closed so... More

The staff are super, the food is well prepared and fresh, the porridge is delicious, the shower in our room was phenomenal, and they accommodated our baby not just by providing a travel cot but also by giving us one of the larger rooms. Although it faced the street it wasn't noisy. More

Accompanied by two companions, I stayed here for two nights in August. The hotel is a good location to take in the hospitality etc, of lovely Kenmare. Our one crib however was that the limited fare on the Resident's Dinner Menu left much to be desired. However, after duly raising the issue, the matter was clarified, and reasons given for... More

Stayed here for 2 nights.Grand room overlooking the street.Very quiet but could be a problem on a weekend night-would still prefer it to a quiet room with kitchen smells and sounds.Delightful staff throughout-very friendly and very accommodating.Super location-within walking distance of everything.Lovely breakfast .Good ingredients and freshly cooked-a rare event these days.Scones just hot out of the oven. All in all... Stayed here one night while touring the south.Room was dreadful, dark and depressing, cheap rickety cream furniture, uncomfortable beds, tacky curtains, tiny towels, stained carpet ,frosted glass panelled door into the bathroom and a view of the utility area, beer kegs, rubbish and vans. We must have been in a different place to most of the other reviewers on this site. !!!!... More

Really enjoyed our stay last night. Arrived yesterday after the Open in Killarney to be greeted with Trad music playing on the street as we entered the hotel - what an atmosphere. We went to "Old Thady Quill's Pub" for dinner and the food I would highly reccomend. The scampi was lush and my husband was thrilled with the burger.... More
