Just returned from 4 night break at white sands. Hotel probably could do with a bit updating but the staff are second to none. Couldn't do enough to please. Food hot although only 2 choices but then again the hotel had nay opened up because our tour was arriving. Read reviews before I went and thought oh oh but I... More

This hotel has had some pretty poor reviews, so going there i really was prepared for the worst! Have to say we had a lovely time, the location is excellent, the hotel made me feel quite nostalgic and reminded me of a by gone era, which made a welcome change from the souless hotel chains, the food was in general... Spent a nice weekend here with two kids, aged 7 and 9. The beach is only a short walk away and we spent most of our time there. The hotel rooms are basic but clean and good value. We found the staff very friendly , the breakfast very good, and the kids loved the pizza. There were plenty local characters... More

This hotel is in a very picturesque location, right on the beach in Co. Kerry. The staff are very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. It isn't the Savoy, but for a great value trip it would be hard to beat. The hotel is full of character, not one of those modern chain hotels that are... More

I was here for a weekend with my family. The hotel is in a good location just beside beach. The layout is all over the place - you have to travel through breakfast room to get to the lift. The rooms were small but adequate. We all had a great sleep. The breakfast was dissapointing - limited choice and the... More

We have just returned from a short break at the White Sands Hotel in Ballyheigue in Co Kerry. We found the Hotel to be in a very good location, just accross the road from one of Irelands Blue Flag beaches. A convenient base for visiting North Kerry. The Hotel is an average 3 star hotel which is in need of... More

Overall, a basic family run hotel. Rooms were nice but hotel corridors were outdated & could do with a spruce up. Staff were extremely friendly & accommodating. Breakfast was not officially served until 8am but staff ensured that we were fed at the earlier time of 7am before we set off for the Ring of Kerry. Delicious scrambled egg. It... More
