We only had a meal so cannot comment on the accomodation. Been to this hotel with a fantastic view a couple of times. Its a traditional place but with a lovely dining room or you can eat in the pub opposite, which is the ex stables (same menu and prices) or outside if its nice. This hotel is in a great location and I can see why people have rated it highly in other reviews. However, there were a number of things that on our stay that did not go quite right. We didnt actually stay here but we used the restaurant to have dinner one night and breakfast another and whilst what everyone else says about the place seeming slightly old fashioned is true, the food was superb. Everything was cooked to perfection and plenty of it - what a surprise! more
